Role Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide professional customer service to clients through various servicing channels. The Customer Service Agent will respond to client needs, queries and complaints while ensuring that all interactions comply with service-level agreements, company policies and relevant legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Handle client queries through inbound calls, emails and walk-in interactions.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries within agreed service-level timeframes.
- Provide accurate information and appropriate advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate complex queries to the relevant department or stakeholder.
- Provide clients with relevant information and documentation.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure customer expectations are effectively managed.
Administration and Systems
- Capture and update client information accurately on relevant systems.
- Complete administrative and reporting requirements within agreed deadlines.

Compliance and Quality
- Adhere to legislative, regulatory and company compliance requirements.
- Maintain required service and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 is essential.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a call centre or client service environment is preferred.
- Exposure to the medical aid and/or health industry will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-service abilities.
