Requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4
• National Diploma/Degree in Food & Beverage
• Computer literacy
• Excellent costing and budgeting skills
• Menu planning and culinary skills
• Knowledge of food and therapeutic diets
• Food science and mass catering knowledge
• Industrial kitchen compliance knowledge
• Excellent organisational, administrative and managerial skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
The Catering Manager will oversee all catering services to ensure the satisfaction of patients and staff, including:
• Organisation and production management
• Financial and internal controls
• Cost accounting and budgeting
• Financial forecasting
• Labour relations and personnel administration
• Menu planning and food service
• Compliance with policies and procedures
• Customer service and team management
• Keeping up with hospitality industry trends
