Job Purpose
Clicks is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Shop Assistant Cashiers to join the team at Spruitview Shopping Centre in Vosloorus. Successful candidates will provide excellent customer service, operate the point of sale efficiently, promote ClubCard membership, maintain merchandising standards, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be responsible for:
- Operating the Point of Sale (POS) efficiently and accurately.
- Scanning merchandise and processing customer payments.
- Handling cash securely and following cash management procedures.
- Promoting the Clicks ClubCard programme.
- Registering new ClubCard members.
- Informing customers about promotions and special offers.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assisting customers with product enquiries.
- Replenishing stock and maintaining merchandising standards.
- Ensuring shelves remain clean, organised, and fully stocked.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping throughout the store.
- Keeping up to date with products, promotions, and store events.
- Supporting company values and customer service standards.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good numeracy skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Advantageous
- Previous experience in a retail or FMCG customer-facing role
- Mathematics (50% or above) in Grade 12
