Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 10 (Standard 8) or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write.

  • Experience in a warehouse or Transit Section will be an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be reliable and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to comply with safety policies and stores requirements.
  • Ability to provide good customer care to internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the stores and Transit Section.

Key duties include:

  • Managing deliveries in the Transit Section.
  • Delivering goods and services to end users.
  • Providing support to Supply Chain Management clerks and managers.
  • Cleaning the warehouse and floors.
  • Packing received stock onto shelves.
  • Picking stock from shelves after the clerk has issued it.
  • Carrying stock from the warehouse to the Transit Section.
  • Clearing and cleaning the Transit Section.
  • Maintaining the corridor around the stores area.
  • Following proper safety procedures and stores requirements.
