Purpose of the Position
The Team Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to managers and departmental teams. The role ensures efficient office operations, coordinates daily administrative activities, manages documentation, and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the department.
The successful candidate will serve as the department’s administrative expert, ensuring smooth workflows and supporting management in achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Provide professional administrative and secretarial support.
- Coordinate daily office operations and departmental activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, letters, and official correspondence.
- Draft and format business documents using Microsoft Office.
- Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting arrangements.
- Organise travel documentation and administrative paperwork.
- Print, copy, scan, fax, and distribute documents.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
- Prepare outgoing correspondence and courier documents.
- Maintain confidential electronic and paper filing systems.
- Capture, update, and maintain company databases.
- Keep accurate departmental records and archives.
- Assist visitors, clients, and employees professionally.
- Complete company forms according to internal procedures.
- Retrieve and attach supporting documentation where required.
- Ensure office supplies and administrative resources are available.
- Maintain efficient document management systems.
- Support managers with day-to-day administrative requirements.
- Deliver administrative tasks accurately and within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with Sasol administrative standards and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent High School Diploma.
- A recognised school qualification (NQF equivalent accepted).
Experience Required
