Internship Purpose

The programme is designed to provide practical, hands-on workplace experience to students studying Agriculture. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to departmental projects, and develop technical and workplace skills required to complete their National Diploma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in Work Integrated Learning projects assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Gain practical workplace experience aligned with your qualification.
  • Support departmental and project activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen under the age of 35.
  • Be registered or planning to register in 2026 for the final year of a National Diploma in:
    • Agriculture (Crop Production), or
    • Agriculture (Irrigation Systems).
  • Be studying at a recognised South African higher education institution.
  • Require Work Integrated Learning (WIL) as a compulsory component of their qualification.
  • Submit:
    • Academic record.
    • Official letter from their institution confirming the WIL requirement.
  • Have not worked full-time in their field of study for more than one year.
  • Be based in the city where the internship is offered.
  • Strong academic performance will be an added advantage.

Programme Duration

Successful applicants will be appointed on a 12-month fixed-term internship contract.
