About the Eskom Learner Plant Operator Programme

The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to receive structured training within Eskom’s operating environment.

The programme includes:

Institutionalised training
On-the-job training
Practical workplace exposure
Exposure to Eskom’s operating environment
Development of technical, communication and workplace skills

Applicants who successfully pass the recruitment process may be placed in Eskom Operations across its divisions.

Key Responsibilities

Learner Plant Operators will be expected to participate fully in the learning programme and complete the required institutionalised and workplace training.

Key responsibilities include:

Participate in institutionalised training.
Complete assigned on-the-job training.
Follow Eskom policies and procedures.
Work effectively within a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the applicable educational requirements below.

Grade 12

Grade 12 with Mathematics at 50%.
Physical Science at 50%.
English at 40%.

N3

Applicants with an N3 qualification must have:

Mathematics at 50%.
Science at 50%.
English at 40%.

NCV Level 4

Applicants with NCV Level 4 must have:

Mathematics at 50%.
Science at 50%.
English at 40%.

Additional Technical Qualifications
