About the Programme

The Eskom YES Programme is designed to provide unemployed youth with their first formal work experience. During the 12-month placement, participants will work alongside experienced professionals while developing workplace skills that can enhance future career opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be between 18 and 34 years of age.
  • Have Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Be unemployed at the time of application.
  • Not be studying full-time during the programme.
  • Not have worked permanently for one employer for more than one continuous year.
  • Not have participated in or registered for the YES Programme previously.
