ABOUT THE ROLE
The Customer Services Agent will be responsible for providing professional and efficient service to clients through various channels, including inbound calls, emails and walk-in interactions.
The successful candidates will handle client queries, concerns and complaints while ensuring that all services are delivered within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and in accordance with applicable legislative and compliance requirements.
The role requires individuals who can communicate effectively, investigate and resolve customer issues, maintain accurate client records and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
- Respond professionally to client and intermediary queries.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns within agreed service levels.
- Take ownership of complaints and ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Provide accurate information, advice and relevant documentation to clients.
- Escalate complex queries to the appropriate departments or stakeholders.
- Provide regular feedback to clients regarding outstanding queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver services in line with agreed customer service standards and SLAs.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve customer experience and fair client treatment.
Administration & Compliance
- Capture and update client information accurately on relevant systems.
- Complete administrative and reporting requirements within agreed deadlines.
- Follow all relevant legislative, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Identify and report system or process failures and recommend improvements.
- Ensure accurate and reliable information is provided to clients and stakeholders.
Teamwork & Development
- Maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Participate positively in organisational change initiatives.
- Continuously develop knowledge of the health, medical aid and related industries.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a call centre or client service environment is preferred.
- Exposure to the medical aid and/or health industry will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in English, Afrikaans and Nguni languages, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
