Purpose of the Role
The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting glass products safely and efficiently to customers while ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with road regulations, and proper handling of fragile materials. The successful candidate will also assist with loading and unloading, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and contribute to high customer satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Deliver glass products safely and on schedule.
- Plan delivery routes using good knowledge of local roads.
- Inspect the vehicle before every trip.
- Ensure the truck remains clean and roadworthy.
- Complete daily trip sheets accurately.
- Conduct quality inspections during loading.
- Report vehicle defects immediately.
- Load and unload glass safely to avoid damage.
- Secure loads correctly before transport.
- Follow all company safety procedures and road traffic regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
- Assist warehouse staff with loading activities.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Work overtime, weekends, and shifts when operationally required.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 10 or higher driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
Preferred Experience
Advantage will be given to candidates with:
