Purpose of the Role

The Plant Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of plant operations by providing administrative support across multiple departments. The role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings, managing procurement administration, supporting production reporting, and assisting with various operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the plant management team.

  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, and plant events.
  • Raising purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Monitoring and reconciling administrative expenses.

  • Managing visitor registration, site access, and induction documentation.
  • Assisting with facilities management administration.
  • Supporting plant improvement initiatives and special projects.
  • Coordinating travel bookings for employees.

  • Ensuring all documentation complies with company standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Essential

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • 2–5 years of administration experience.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Advantageous

  • Administrative, Office Management, or Business Administration qualification.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory, production, warehouse, or plant environment.
  • Experience supporting operational or production teams.
