PepsiCo is recruiting three (3) Stackers to join the Packing Department at its Durban Rice Plant in KwaZulu-Natal. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) qualification and at least 12 months of experience in a production, packing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

Successful candidates will report to the Production Supervisor and play an important role in ensuring products are stacked correctly, inspected for quality, and prepared for distribution while maintaining food safety and workplace safety standards.

Job Purpose

The Stacker is responsible for stacking finished products according to company standards, inspecting pallets and products, ensuring accurate labeling, maintaining housekeeping, and complying with all food safety, quality, and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect pallets before use.
  • Use the correct pallet size and pallet sheet covers.
  • Stack products according to approved pallet configurations.
  • Ensure the correct number of packets are packed in each bale.
  • Apply the correct barcode labels.
  • Inspect products for damage and quality defects.
  • Verify production date codes.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Comply with GMP and food safety requirements.
  • Report food safety and quality concerns.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Report near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a similar production or warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow company procedures and quality standards.
