Purpose of the Role
The General Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout office facilities and ensuring refreshment areas remain fully stocked and operational. The successful candidate will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 10 qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar cleaning or general worker position
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and cleaning materials effectively
- Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning offices, boardrooms, meeting rooms, kitchens, and refreshment areas daily
- Emptying office bins daily
- Preparing tea and coffee for staff and visitors
- Keeping crockery and cutlery clean and available
- Conducting deep cleaning of offices and public areas at least twice monthly
- Monitoring stock levels of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and related consumables
- Ordering refreshments and supplies when necessary
- Maintaining a continuous supply of hot water in the urn
- Cleaning and descaling the urn regularly
- Ensuring kitchens remain hygienic and well-maintained
- Maintaining cleaning equipment and reporting faults
- Safeguarding cleaning materials and equipment
- Reporting maintenance or cleanliness concerns in restroom facilities
- Running external errands when required
