About the Internship

Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is offering an exciting 18-month internship programme for unemployed South African graduates who want to gain practical workplace experience in the field of Communication and Public Relations.

The programme combines structured workplace learning, mentorship, coaching, and practical exposure to prepare interns for successful careers in the communications industry. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals while developing valuable technical and professional skills in a real working environment.

This opportunity is intended for students from registered TVET Colleges who have completed all their theoretical studies and require workplace exposure or have recently completed their qualification.

Internship Locations

Successful candidates may be placed in:

  • Kimberley
  • Saldanha
  • Bloemfontein

Placement will depend on operational requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens.
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Be unemployed.
  • Have completed all theoretical studies at a registered TVET College.
  • Have no bursary obligations.
  • Have no previous work experience in their field of study.
  • Hold a qualification in Communication/Public Relations.
