ABOUT THE ROLE
Old Mutual is seeking a skilled Retention Consultant to manage policy cancellations, retain clients, and strengthen long-term customer relationships. You’ll play a key role in reducing policy lapses and improving overall customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and solution-driven support.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Process all policy cancellation and surrender requests efficiently
- Handle inbound and outbound calls aligned with campaigns and targets
- Contact clients regarding unpaid premiums and retention opportunities
- Provide tailored retention solutions based on customer needs
- Analyse customer portfolios (loss ratios, discounts, risk factors)
- Maintain accurate records of all retention activities
- Deliver excellent customer service in line with company standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Stay up to date with product offerings, rules, and competitor insights
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in retention/customer service/sales
- Proven experience in handling customer objections and saving policies
- Strong understanding of insurance/financial products (advantageous)
