Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional administrative support to the South African Reserve Bank’s residential and commercial property portfolio by assisting with lease administration, facilities management, document management, utility administration, inspections, parking management, and general office support.
The role also ensures that property records remain accurate, operational processes run efficiently, and all activities comply with SARB policies and applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Property Administration
- Administer lease applications from initiation to completion.
- Assist with drafting, processing and maintaining lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate property administration records.
- Coordinate property-related documentation with internal departments.

Facilities Management Support
- Capture and maintain property information on the Facilities Management System (FMS).
- Ensure all property data remains current and accurate.
- Support facilities planning and property reporting.
- Assist with space allocation and facilities coordination.
Document Management
- Organise electronic and physical property records.
- Maintain secure filing systems.
- Ensure documents are easily retrievable.
- Perform quality checks on property documentation.
Utility Management
- Assist with administration of municipal accounts.
- Process utility information for SARB-owned and leased properties.
- Support payment administration relating to municipal rates and taxes.
- Maintain utility records for reporting purposes.
Property Inspections
- Conduct housekeeping inspections.
- Perform home improvement inspections.
- Identify maintenance requirements.

Parking Administration
- Manage employee parking allocations.
- Coordinate visitor parking arrangements.

Office Administration
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Corporate Services Department.
- Prepare reports and correspondence.
- Schedule meetings where required.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in a property-related qualification or equivalent.
- Three to five years’ experience in property administration or a corporate administration environment.

- Property Management Certificate.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience using Revit.
- Experience with booking management systems.
- Exposure to Facilities Management Systems (FMS).
