About the Role
Eskom is seeking an experienced Project Co-Ordinator to support the successful delivery of construction projects at Medupi Power Station. The successful candidate will coordinate project planning, scheduling, procurement, compliance, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
The role requires someone with strong construction project experience, excellent organisational skills, knowledge of engineering environments, and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and project risks.
- Coordinating project communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring compliance with Eskom policies, governance standards and statutory requirements.
- Preparing project schedules and summary reports.
- Developing and maintaining project structures and documentation.
- Producing portfolio compliance reports.
- Consolidating SAP reports and project information.
- Monitoring project performance and reporting progress to management.
- Tracking procurement of construction materials and commodities.
- Coordinating procurement schedules to avoid project delays.
- Preparing professional reports using Microsoft Office applications.
- Supporting project meetings and maintaining accurate project records.
- Assisting project managers with planning and administrative coordination.
- Identifying project risks and escalating issues where necessary.
- Ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and audit-ready.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Degree or Diploma in:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Management
- Project Management
- Quantity Surveying
OR
- Extensive experience supervising construction work.

Experience
Applicants must have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in construction project coordination or a closely related role.
- Experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or industrial construction projects.
- Experience preparing project reports and coordinating multiple project activities.
- Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
- Experience supporting procurement and contract administration is beneficial.
