About the Role

Pick n Pay is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator SC to join its Supply Chain team at the Eastport Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting inbound warehouse operations by managing documentation, processing stock movements, resolving customer and business queries, conducting stock counts, and maintaining accurate records within SAP and warehouse management systems.

The role requires strong administrative capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution centre environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Relevant Diploma or qualification will be advantageous
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Centre environment
  • 1–2 years’ experience working with warehouse equipment
  • SAP EWM experience
  • Computer literacy and strong administrative skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Inbound Administration

  • Process customer account transactions and reconciliations
  • Verify documentation accuracy and completeness
  • Process THAN slips (Chep), TN slips (GLS), AODs, Purchase Orders, Control Sheets, and PTRs (Permits to Remove)
  • Match and process customer transfer notes for GLS and Chep equipment

Stock and Inventory Control

  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly stock counts
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and incorrect equipment quantities
  • Verify article linkages against packaging materials
  • Ensure inventory records are accurately maintained

Reporting and Record Keeping

  • Update inbound handover sheets daily
  • Prepare and submit inbound operational reports
  • Capture and maintain vendor return records
  • Compile reports for the equipment team
  • Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and system records

Documentation Management

  • Collect and process:
    • Backhaul documentation
    • Transhipment documentation
    • Collection documentation
    • Return documentation
    • Rejected order documentation
  • Ensure all paperwork is correctly filed and recorded

Customer and Business Support

  • Investigate and resolve customer and internal business queries
  • Escalate unresolved issues where necessary
  • Support operational teams with accurate information and reporting
  • Assist in maintaining efficient inbound warehouse processes
