The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently while supporting water and sanitation service delivery across designated areas within the municipality.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 10 certificate or equivalent qualification
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PrDP
- Relevant operator training certificates
- Physically fit and able to perform operational duties
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar working environment
Key Responsibilities
The appointed candidate will be expected to:
- Operate water tankers, Hi-up trucks, TLBs, trailers, and related heavy machinery safely and responsibly
- Transport equipment, machinery, and materials to and from operational sites
- Maintain vacuum and chemical toilets while renewing related utility services where required
- Record and submit daily water usage reports and operational records
- Ensure all plant, machinery, vehicles, and equipment remain in good working condition
- Identify operational problems and resolve issues within approved guidelines
- Escalate unresolved technical or operational issues when necessary
- Comply with municipal policies, standard operating procedures, and legislative requirements
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and related by-laws
- Assist in preventing resource wastage and reporting associated risks
