About the Learnership

DHL Global Forwarding, a division of DHL Group, is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed South African youth to join its 2026/2027 Learnership Programme. This 12-month programme combines accredited classroom training with practical workplace experience, allowing learners to gain nationally recognized qualifications while developing essential skills in freight forwarding and logistics.

Participants will complete the Clearing & Forwarding Agent NQF Level 5 qualification, preparing them for careers in import, export, customs clearance, freight forwarding, supply chain management, and logistics administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support import and export operations.
  • Receive, reconcile, and process shipping documents.
  • Consolidate and summarize freight documentation.
  • Capture and maintain operational information.
  • Assist with logistics administration and reporting.
  • Scan, file, and manage business records.
  • Support operational systems according to company procedures.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure efficient freight movement.
  • Follow DHL policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant Transport & Logistics/Business qualification.
  • Minimum 65% in English.
  • Between 18 and 30 years of age.
  • South African citizen.
  • Currently unemployed.
  • Not registered for any studies.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office) will be advantageous.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
