Purpose of the Role

The Crate Hanger plays an important role in keeping the production process running efficiently by ensuring that clean crates are continuously supplied to the production line. This position helps maintain production flow, supports food safety standards, and contributes to overall operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Able to read and write effectively
  • Minimum of 1 year of beverage product packing experience
  • Physically fit and able to work in a production environment

Key Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include:

  • Receiving empty crates from the Logistics department
  • Hanging crates onto the crate conveyor belt
  • Ensuring production always has enough crates available
  • Separating clean crates from dirty crates
  • Monitoring crate flow to avoid production delays
  • Keeping workstations clean and organised
  • Following company housekeeping standards
  • Complying with all food safety and quality procedures
  • Wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Participating in company safety programmes and toolbox talks
  • Reporting damaged crates, equipment faults, or safety hazards immediately
  • Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity
  • Following all company policies and operational procedures
