Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Grade 10 qualification or equivalent
- 1–2 years cleaning experience in a hospital or clinical environment
- Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and night duty
- Ability to rotate cleaning duties within clinical areas
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Honest, reliable and trustworthy character

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Cleaning and Hygiene Services
- Cleaning offices, wards, corridors, elevators, bathrooms and toilets
- Sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and shampooing floors
- Dusting, polishing and waxing furniture, floors and doors
- Cleaning walls, windows and hospital equipment
- Emptying and sanitising waste bins
- Refilling hand wash soap dispensers
- Replacing toilet paper, hand towels and air fresheners
- Reporting damaged cleaning equipment
- Requesting cleaning supplies when required
Ward Support Duties
- Cleaning hospital beds, lockers, chairs and medical equipment
- Cleaning bathrooms, sluice rooms and patient areas
- Managing soiled linen rooms
- Washing and refilling patient water jugs
- Assisting with meal preparation and distribution
- Collecting food trolleys from the kitchen
- Assisting nurses during meal service
- Preparing and serving tea
- Washing cups and utensils after tea service
- Maintaining cleanliness records using provided checklists
General Support Duties
- Performing messenger duties when required
- Ensuring all assigned areas comply with hospital hygiene standards
- Supporting infection prevention and control procedures
Required Screening Questions
