Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the receiving, capturing, and distribution of laboratory samples. This role ensures accurate information is recorded and processed efficiently to support laboratory service objectives and turnaround times.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Relevant NQF Level 4 qualification

Experience

  • 0–1 year of relevant working experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and distribute laboratory samples according to standard operating procedures.
  • Capture and register sample information accurately.
  • Process specimen dispatch and monitor delivery progress.
  • Conduct hospital rounds to distribute reports and collect samples.
  • Handle administrative queries and customer complaints professionally.
  • Track specimen deliveries and ensure timely processing.
  • Investigate and resolve laboratory workflow bottlenecks.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the work area.
  • Monitor stock levels and order required materials.
  • Manage reception duties and direct visitors appropriately.
  • Receive payments from patients and ensure proper banking procedures.
  • Record incidents, complaints, and corrective actions on laboratory systems.
  • Scan and process patient documentation using laboratory systems.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and uniform standards.
