About the Role
The successful candidate will support Old Mutual Group Assurance, which provides group risk products in South Africa.
The role involves working on new business tenders and quotations for potential clients. You will analyse member and claims data, work with pricing tools and Excel, respond to stakeholder queries and help improve processes.
The position is suited to someone who is comfortable working with numbers, data, technology and systems, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting requests and delivering work according to production standards.
- Analysing member and claims data.
- Preparing and processing new business quotations and tenders.
- Validating information and working confidently with pricing tools.
- Using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 effectively.
- Using approved AI tools responsibly for research, summarisation and suitable task automation.
- Identifying inefficient processes and helping implement improvements.
- Supporting colleagues during process changes.
- Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responding to and resolving stakeholder and client queries.
- Providing accurate and complete information within agreed service levels.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics.
- Strong numerical and mathematical reasoning ability.
- Good computer literacy.
- Strong practical Excel skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365.
- Strong digital and systems aptitude.
- Ability to work with data and interpret information.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to check information and improve controls and processes.
- Understanding of how AI tools can support research, summarisation and automation.
- Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
Advantageous Experience and Qualifications
The following would be beneficial:
- Experience in the insurance industry.
- Experience working with and pricing Group Risk products.
- A business or commercial qualification.
