Job Purpose

The Engineer in Training programme is designed to provide engineering graduates with practical workplace exposure and on-the-job training within Eskom’s Matla Power Station.

Successful candidates will be afforded the opportunity to develop their engineering knowledge and workplace competencies through practical training.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will:

Participate in on-the-job engineering training.
Gain practical workplace exposure within the Eskom environment.
Apply engineering knowledge and skills in a professional working environment.
Work as part of a team and contribute to assigned activities.
Develop professional and interpersonal competencies during the training programme.
Comply with Eskom policies, procedures and workplace requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

A fully completed Engineering Degree.
B Eng or BSc Eng qualification.
Qualification in one of the following engineering disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering – LC
- Computer Engineering
- Civil Engineering
