The successful Paralegal will support attorneys with legal, administrative, research and litigation-related activities.

Paralegal Job Purpose

The Paralegal (High Court) is responsible for providing general management, administrative and technical legal support to attorneys.

The position requires someone who can work accurately with legal documentation, conduct research, organise case information and assist attorneys throughout litigation processes.

Key Performance Areas

Legal Research and Attorney Support

The successful candidate will:

Provide research assistance to attorneys.
Search and verify public records.
Assist with interviewing clients and witnesses.
Collect and retrieve information required for litigation.
Analyse information relevant to legal cases.
Assist attorneys with trials and trial preparation.
Conduct research for reporting and management purposes.

Legal Document Management

Reporting Responsibilities

The Paralegal will also assist with:

Preparing and submitting Regulation reports.
Developing functional reporting systems.
Supporting management, project and performance reporting.

Stakeholder Management

The role involves interaction with various internal and external stakeholders. Duties include:

Road Accident Fund Paralegal Requirements

Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Law or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a legal environment.

Experience that provides exposure to litigation, legal research, legal documentation, case administration and MVA-related matters would be particularly relevant to the position.
