About the Position
The Airtime Management Executive is responsible for ensuring that requests from internal and external stakeholders are processed efficiently and within the required turnaround times.
The role supports the management of advertising airtime across SABC platforms and involves coordinating bookings, schedules, campaigns, client requests and related media administration.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates may be responsible for:
- Processing airtime requests from approval through to delivery across SABC platforms.
- Creating campaigns and product numbers.
- Managing advertising bookings and scheduling.
- Negotiating alternative times and programmes where requested slots are unavailable.
- Communicating affected spots caused by non-broadcasts, programme changes or cancellations.
- Compiling availability reports for clients.
- Managing late revisions.
- Sending campaign confirmations to clients.
- Liaising with clients regarding industry codes and advertising material.
- Processing and managing campaign-related information accurately.
- Maintaining appropriate records and documentation.
- Following SABC policies, procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Supporting effective client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned work.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should generally have:
- N5/N6 Higher Certificate in Marketing, Advertising, Media or a relevant tertiary qualification.
- An IT qualification will be an added advantage.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a sales operations environment.
- Experience in areas such as bookings, scheduling, reconciliations, media logistics, spotter or final control is advantageous.
- Previous airtime management experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant media and advertising processes.
- Knowledge of media regulatory requirements.
- Computer literacy and strong administrative skills.
