Purpose of the Role

The Clerk Rail Control is responsible for delivering high-quality administrative support to the Rail Control department. The role ensures efficient office operations through document management, scheduling, reporting, data capturing, travel coordination, filing, communication, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide daily administrative support to the Rail Control department.
  • Answer telephone calls, transfer calls, and respond to enquiries professionally.
  • Receive visitors and assist clients and staff.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate conference bookings and office events.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and transport bookings.
  • Prepare letters, reports, presentations, and business documents.
  • Capture, update, reconcile, and maintain accurate data.
  • Maintain electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Sort, file, archive, and retrieve company records.
  • Print, photocopy, scan, and distribute documents.
  • Maintain office supplies and stationery inventory.
  • Process invoices and assist with expenditure records.
  • Monitor departmental administrative activities.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with Sasol administrative procedures and service level agreements.

Minimum Requirements
