The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is hiring an Administrator: Change Configuration & Asset Management to join its Strategy and Transformation division in Centurion, Gauteng. This is a permanent position suited to an experienced ICT professional with a background in Change Management, Configuration Management, Asset Management and IT Service Management.

The successful candidate will help maintain the integrity of the live ICT environment by coordinating controlled changes, maintaining accurate configuration information and ensuring effective visibility and accountability of ICT assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, install, upgrade and maintain enterprise management tools.
  • Monitor system logs and resolve reported errors.
  • Ensure high availability and reliable performance of enterprise management tools.
  • Coordinate tool integration and compatibility testing.
  • Maintain accurate hardware, software and ICT asset inventories.
  • Manage and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Establish configuration baselines and maintain version control.
  • Conduct configuration audits and ensure compliance with relevant processes.
  • Coordinate ICT change requests, release plans and implementation activities.
  • Prepare schedules, action plans and documentation for planned changes.
  • Coordinate and present matters at Change Advisory Board (CAB) forums.
  • Ensure all configuration changes are properly approved, recorded and tracked.
  • Monitor patching and update cycles to help keep systems secure and current.
  • Prepare reports on system performance and availability.
  • Maintain documentation relating to enterprise management tools.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders with information requests and service-related queries.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology or a related Technology qualification.
  • ITIL V3 or V4 Certificate.
  • AWS Practitioner Attendance Certificate.
  • Guidewire Attendance Certificate.

Experience Required

  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in ICT Change Management, Asset Management or Configuration Management.
  • Experience in a service desk environment supporting Claims Management Systems, Citrix environments, Network Systems, Telephony Systems or SAP Applications will be advantageous.

Important Information

RAF offers Total Employment Cost (TEC) packages, with no additional employer contributions. Successful candidates will be required to structure their packages according to their individual needs.
