Key Responsibilities
The successful WIL candidate will assist with a range of Safety, Health, Environment and Risk activities, including:
- Providing technical support in improving, maintaining and monitoring existing management systems and standard operating procedures.
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the ISO 45001 Management System.
- Ensuring compliance with company HSE processes and procedures.
- Conducting routine safety compliance inspections and audits.
- Checking compliance against relevant authorisations, guidelines and legislation.
- Assisting with the development of action plans to address areas of non-compliance.
- Conducting both planned and unplanned proactive safety inspections.
- Preparing and compiling safety inspection reports.
- Ensuring fire extinguishers and first aid boxes are compliant, serviced and accessible.
- Assisting with conducting and reviewing risk assessments.
- Compiling information for weekly, monthly and other required reports.
- Scheduling and conducting emergency response drills.
- Assisting with gathering information and participating in incident investigations.
- Ensuring that workplace noticeboards display relevant and up-to-date HSE information.
- Attending statutory HSE meetings and assisting with the preparation of meeting minutes.
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions (CAPA) system.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- A Work Integrated Learning letter.
- Certified copies of relevant qualifications.
- Certified copy of ID.
- Learner agreement.
