The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme gives unemployed young South Africans an opportunity to gain real workplace experience in a professional environment. Successful candidates may be placed within different Eskom operational divisions depending on business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be between 18 and 34 years of age.
  • Possess a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Be unemployed at the time of application.
  • Not be studying full-time during the programme.
  • Not have previously participated in the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme.
  • Not have been permanently employed by one employer for more than 12 consecutive months.
