Job Purpose
To ensure all hospital wards, offices, passages, bathrooms, patient areas, and other facilities remain clean, hygienic, and compliant with infection prevention and occupational health standards.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10, ABET Level 4 (N1), or an equivalent qualification
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and human relations skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy hospital environment
- Willingness to perform physically demanding duties
- Willingness to rotate between departments when required
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night duty

Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Cleaning wards, offices, corridors, waiting areas, and hospital facilities
- Mopping and sanitising floors
- Cleaning toilets, washrooms, and bathrooms
- Cleaning doors, windows, beds, refrigerators, and stairways
- Dusting furniture, equipment, and window sills
- Stripping, polishing, and maintaining floors
- Operating cleaning equipment such as polishing machines
- Using cleaning chemicals correctly and safely
- Collecting and disposing of waste according to hospital procedures
- Following infection prevention and control standards
- Reporting damaged equipment or maintenance issues
- Assisting supervisors with additional cleaning duties when required
