Job Purpose
The Fixed Asset Clerk is responsible for maintaining an accurate fixed asset register by processing acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and asset master data in SAP. The successful candidate will also assist with capital purchase order approvals while ensuring compliance with financial controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Administration
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Create and maintain SAP asset master data.
- Process acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and other asset transactions.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile asset records and investigate discrepancies.
Capital Purchase Order Administration
- Support capital purchase order approval processes.
- Ensure approvals comply with company procedures.
- Process requests within agreed service level timeframes.
Financial Compliance
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Apply fixed asset accounting policies and capitalisation principles.

Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Matric Certificate.
- Accounting or Financial-related Certificate.
Preferred Qualification
- Financial Diploma.
Essential Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in a financial department.
- Fixed asset administration experience.
Advantageous Experience
- 3–5 years in a finance environment.
- Fixed asset accounting experience.
- SAP Asset Accounting or Finance Module experience.
