is seeking a skilled Production Controller to support manufacturing operations at its Midrand facility. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in production reporting, inventory control, SAP systems, and manufacturing processes within the FMCG sector.

Purpose of the Role
The Production Controller will ensure the accuracy of production data, material consumption records, inventory movements, and ERP transactions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining stock integrity, minimizing material losses, supporting audits, and improving production reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Reporting & Reconciliation
- Validate daily production output and material consumption records.
- Reconcile Daily Production Reports (DPR) with actual production figures.
- Ensure production orders are correctly processed and closed in SAP.
- Investigate and resolve production reporting discrepancies.
Inventory & Material Control
- Monitor raw material and packaging material usage.
- Verify material consumption against approved Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Analyze production yields and identify abnormal variances.
- Investigate material losses and recommend corrective actions.
- Track rework, waste, scrap, and stock adjustments.
SAP & ERP Administration
- Process and verify production confirmations.
- Manage goods issues, goods returns, stock transfers, and adjustments.
- Correct system posting errors and backflushing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
Compliance & Auditing
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing controls and company procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end reporting and financial stock verification.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Planning, Stores, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Communicate production variances and root-cause findings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or National Certificate in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Inventory Management
- Production Planning
- Industrial Engineering (Advantageous)

Experience Required
- 3–5 years’ experience in:
- Manufacturing environments
- Inventory control
- Supply chain operations
- Production administration
- FMCG industry experience highly advantageous
- Experience using ERP systems in manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of production order management and material reconciliation
