Job Purpose

The Settlements Clerk will be responsible for settling driver balances on a daily basis while ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. The role also involves capturing orders, maintaining records, assisting drivers with queries, and preparing settlement reports to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Driver Settlement Administration

  • Settle drivers’ balances daily.
  • Verify and reconcile cash, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all settlement transactions are processed accurately and timeously.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies.

Order Processing

  • Capture customer orders into the company order management system.
  • Ensure sales orders are accurately recorded and processed.
  • Maintain data integrity within company systems.

Record Keeping & Filing

  • Organize and maintain filing systems.
  • Store financial and operational documents for easy retrieval.
  • Ensure accurate electronic and manual record management.

Data Capturing

  • Capture information from paper-based records into computer systems.
  • Verify data accuracy before submission.
  • Update and maintain company databases.

Driver Support

  • Address driver queries regarding settlements, routes, payments, administration, and vehicle-related concerns.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.

Reporting

  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly settlement reports.
  • Monitor transaction status and report discrepancies.
  • Assist management with operational and financial reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • 1–2 years of finance or administration experience.
  • Experience in financial transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of account reconciliation procedures.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using Mosaic and Oracle systems will be advantageous.
