Finance Assistant Job Opportunity – Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore
Anglo American Kumba Iron Ore is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join its Finance team in Kathu, Northern Cape, on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with accounting knowledge and experience in financial administration, invoice processing, and payment reconciliation.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate payment processing, supplier account management, and administrative support while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify supplier invoices accurately.
- Prepare source documents for payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements and vendor accounts.
- Investigate payment queries and provide timely feedback.
- Verify monthly supplier payments and deliveries.
- Assist with issuing and tracking company iPads, airtime, and data.
- Manage incentive office administration and payment processes.
- Order stationery and office consumables using SAP.
- Book meeting rooms, catering, and office equipment.
- Provide general finance and administrative support.
- Promote compliance with company safety and financial procedures.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Accounting as a subject.
- Valid South African Driver’s Licence.
- 2–3 years’ experience in finance, accounts payable, or payment processing.
- Knowledge of financial administration and payment procedures.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Computer literacy and SAP knowledge will be advantageous.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
