Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process gynaecological specimens
- Prepare cytology samples
- Perform routine laboratory support duties
- Assist with administrative and documentation processes
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety standards
- Support efficient specimen workflow management
- Contribute to positive client and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures and quality standards
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Lab Assistant in Histology
- 1–3 years of laboratory experience as a Lab Assistant
- Ability to work weekends when required
- Strong communication skills in English
- Basic numerical and analytical skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
