Main Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will ensure that all theatre cases are scheduled accurately to support efficient theatre utilisation while reducing operational and financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule theatre cases correctly according to hospital requirements
- Distribute theatre lists to relevant departments on time
- Load bookings and allocate wards for optimal bed utilisation
- Maintain accurate patient scheduling records
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Computer literacy and experience working with computers
Advantageous Experience
- Theatre or ICU scheduling experience
- Knowledge of AS400 systems
- ICD and CPT coding experience in private healthcare
