About the Role
The Theatre Stock Controller will be responsible for managing daily stock control activities within the theatre and catheterisation laboratory. The successful candidate will support theatre operations by handling stock receiving, capturing charge sheets, monitoring consignment stock, and assisting with stock counts and inventory management.
This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth functioning of theatre services by maintaining accurate stock levels, reducing wastage, and supporting healthcare staff with efficient inventory systems.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Intermediate computer literacy
- Experience working with theatre stock systems
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar stock control or inventory role will be advantageous
- Experience within the private healthcare or healthcare funding industry is beneficial
- Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and organisational standards at all times
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Theatre Stock Controller will be responsible for:
- Managing theatre and catheterisation lab stock
- Monitoring short-dated, obsolete, excess, and consignment stock
- Receiving, unpacking, binning, and barcoding stock items
- Capturing theatre charge sheets and consignment stock daily
- Preparing pre-packs and preference packs for theatre procedures
- Performing regular cycle counts and assisting with stock takes
- Managing stock variances and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Updating theatre stock lists and ensuring formulary compliance
- Liaising with suppliers, doctors, nursing staff, and company representatives
- Performing housekeeping and additional administrative duties assigned by management
