About the Role
AVBOB is seeking client-focused and detail-oriented Senior Admin Clerks to join the Client Service Centre team in Cape Town. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting policyholders, processing client requests efficiently, handling administrative duties, and delivering exceptional customer service.
The vacancies are available due to one promotion and one resignation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Welcoming and assisting walk-in clients at reception
- Handling client inquiries according to client service procedures
- Referring clients to the relevant departments when necessary
- Managing claims, policy services, and premium-related administration
- Handling petty cash and premium payment collections
- Preparing daily banking cash submissions
- Communicating delays, system issues, or processes to clients
- Referring new business opportunities to consultants
- Handling fraud allegations and complaints
- Compiling weekly and monthly statistics reports
- Performing general office administration duties
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Category B FAIS accreditation (140 Long Term Insurance Credits)
- Suitable industry entry qualification as required by the FSCA
- RE5 Certificate
- Clear ITC record
- Clear criminal record
- Compliance with FAIS legislation requirements
FAIS Qualification Requirements
Applicants entering the industry during the following periods must meet these requirements:
2004 – 2007
- 30 credits on NQF Level 4 obtained by 31 December 2009
2008 – 2009
- 30 or 60 credits on NQF Level 4 obtained by 31 December 2011
- Or a full FAIS recognised qualification obtained by 31 December 2013
2010 Onwards
- Full FAIS recognised qualification required
Experience Required
Candidates should have:
- 2–3 years administration experience
- 2–3 years experience within the Life Assurance industry
- Experience in credit services or policy maintenance environments
- Experience using the AVBOB production system will be advantageous
