Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the warehouse and inventory teams with a range of daily operational duties, including:
- Assist Receiving Inspectors with the processing of outstanding DNU (Do Not Use) stock.
- Segregate and identify stock according to instructions.
- Assist with the physical verification of stock quantities against relevant documentation.
- Help prepare and match Certificates of Conformance (C of C) with applicable parts.
- Identify parts where the required Certificate of Conformance is unavailable and refer them to the responsible team member.
- Handle aviation parts and other stock carefully to prevent damage, loss or incorrect allocation.
- Assist the Dispatch team with organising and cleaning the mezzanine and designated warehouse areas.
- Support the movement and organisation of stock as required.
- Assist with physical stock movement within the warehouse.
- Pack stock and place items into the correct racks and designated storage locations.
- Sort and organise stock to support effective inventory management.
- Identify and report visible stock discrepancies.
- Report damaged items and incorrectly stored stock to the relevant personnel.
- Maintain clean, safe and orderly working areas.
- Follow all warehouse, safety and stock-handling procedures.
- Use warehouse equipment and resources responsibly and according to instructions.
- Assist other warehouse functions when required.
- Perform additional reasonable warehouse-related duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification – Essential.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or stock-handling environment will be advantageous.
- Must be physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling items weighing approximately 20–25 kg without assistance.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends when operationally required.
- Must have reliable transport.

What the Role Involves
The Warehouse General Assistant will play a supporting role in ensuring that stock is properly received, identified, stored, organised and moved within the warehouse.
Because the position involves aviation-related stock, candidates are expected to work carefully, follow procedures and maintain accurate handling of parts and documentation. The role may also involve physical activities such as lifting, moving, sorting and placing stock in designated storage areas.
