Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

  • Assist qualified millwrights with equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Participate in preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
  • Assist with machinery installations and commissioning
  • Learn engineering standards and safe work practices
  • Use technical tools and measuring instruments correctly
  • Maintain workshop and production area housekeeping standards
  • Complete apprenticeship logbooks and training requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Comply with safety, quality, and GMP standards
  • Work with production teams to reduce equipment downtime

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
  • Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects
  • N2, N3, or related engineering studies (advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Computer literacy (advantageous)
  • Ability to work shifts and overtime when required
