Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Assist qualified millwrights with equipment maintenance and repairs
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
- Participate in preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
- Assist with machinery installations and commissioning
- Learn engineering standards and safe work practices
- Use technical tools and measuring instruments correctly
- Maintain workshop and production area housekeeping standards
- Complete apprenticeship logbooks and training requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Comply with safety, quality, and GMP standards
- Work with production teams to reduce equipment downtime
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects
- N2, N3, or related engineering studies (advantageous)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles
- Computer literacy (advantageous)
- Ability to work shifts and overtime when required
