Salary and Benefits

  • Basic Salary: R210,060 – R236,256 per annum
  • Grade: Level 10 (Grade 04 Local Authority)
  • Total Cost to Company Package: R356,532.96 per annum

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 10 qualification
  • Grade 12 will be an added advantage
  • Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Public Drivers Permit (PrDP)
  • Ability to operate and drive a water tanker loaded with water
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant truck driving experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptability and self-discipline
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Driving and operating a water tanker truck safely and efficiently
  • Loading and off-loading water and other materials
  • Executing daily work schedules according to instructions from supervisors
  • Planning routes and completing assigned work orders
  • Maintaining vehicles and equipment in good working condition
  • Performing basic administrative duties
  • Assisting other sections when required
  • Supporting service delivery initiatives within the municipality
  • Carrying out ad hoc duties assigned by management
