About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised Training Admin Clerk to support the HR Training Department. This role focuses on coordinating learner logistics, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring smooth administrative processes for all training programmes.

You will be a key support link between learners, facilitators, stores, and external training stakeholders.


Purpose of the Role

To manage end-to-end training administration including learner onboarding, travel arrangements, venue coordination, catering, financial subsistence support, and accurate tracking of learner progress on SETA systems.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (compulsory)
  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration / HR / Office Administration (advantageous)
  • 3–6 months experience in W&R SETA MIS system (advantageous)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Assertive, organised, and learner-focused approach


Key Responsibilities

1. Training Coordination & Logistics

  • Arrange and coordinate all learner and trainer travel logistics
  • Book accommodation, transport, and training venues
  • Organise catering and dietary requirements for training sessions
  • Authorise and process meal and transport allowances
  • Communicate travel schedules and updates to learners and stakeholders
  • Ensure learners are supported and safe during travel arrangements

2. Training Administration & Records

  • Register learners on the SETA MIS system
  • Capture and update learner progress and assessment results
  • Maintain accurate records of all learner financial support and authorisations
  • Support compliance with SETA and internal training requirements
  • Assist facilitators with administrative duties and documentation
  • Track attendance, participation, and training completion status
