About the Role
The Team Assistant will support executives and team members by coordinating administrative functions, managing schedules, handling travel arrangements, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the marketing and communications team execute strategic priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Perform daily administrative duties efficiently and proactively.
- Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas and supporting documentation.
- Take accurate meeting minutes and maintain records.
- Manage invoice processing, claims, and financial administration.
- Maintain secure and efficient filing and record-retention systems.
- Ensure tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
Diary & Travel Management
- Manage executive calendars and appointments.
- Coordinate travel bookings and logistics.
- Prepare travel itineraries and supporting documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates.
- Ensure excellent service delivery across internal and external engagements.
Collaboration & Networking
- Work closely with colleagues across departments.
- Support marketing and communications initiatives.
- Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Quality Assurance & Confidentiality
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify information before submission or distribution.
- Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Higher Diploma in Office Administration
- Previous experience working at Absa and familiarity with relevant systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma
- Banking or Financial Services experience
Experience Required
- 3–5 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant or Team Assistant role
