Life Healthcare invites applications for a Stores Assistant to support effective stock control within the Pharmacy and hospital units, ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient distribution of medical supplies.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Receive, unpack and store surgical and pharmacy stock
  • Distribute stock to wards via auto transfers
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock takes & stock ordering
  • Manage returns, credits and outstanding orders
  • Monitor expiry dates, damaged stock and stock rotation
  • Maintain accurate item codes and stock records
  • Manage dead stock and utilise reports for stock control
  • Transport prescriptions between wards and Pharmacy
  • Perform general admin and clerical duties
  • Ensure accurate stock delivery and follow-up processes
  • Build strong relationships with nursing and hospital teams


REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Experience in stock management
  • Computer literacy (SAP & Impilo advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
  • Physically fit to handle stock, lifting and shelving
