Position Overview

A vacancy exists for a SHEQ Clerk at , reporting to Nokulunga Majola. The successful candidate will support the Quality Management (QM) function by providing effective administrative, documentation, and compliance support within the hospital’s Quality Department.

The role contributes to the smooth operation of Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Compliance (SHEQ) systems through accurate recordkeeping, coordination, and interdepartmental communication.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Support QM in delivering high-quality service standards
  • Perform administrative duties related to QMS and EMS processes
  • Capture, compile, and analyze quality data and reports
  • Maintain accurate filing and record management systems
  • Take minutes during Health & Safety and other meetings
  • Coordinate quality audits (internal and external)
  • Assist with quality training, workshops, and legal compliance sessions
  • Support incident investigations and quality improvement initiatives

Document Control

  • Manage hospital document control systems
  • Maintain and update electronic document management systems
  • Ensure compliance with document control procedures across departments

COID Support

  • Prepare and submit COID documentation
  • Follow up on COID claims and related processes
  • Track accounts and incident documentation progress

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in customer service or administrative roles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Knowledge of hospital systems or medical terminology is an advantage
  • Experience or exposure to ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems advantageous
  • Secretarial or administrative qualification is beneficial
