As a Client Services Consultant, you will play a vital role in maintaining strong relationships with investors and financial advisers by providing professional, accurate, and timely support while ensuring every interaction reflects Nedbank’s commitment to service excellence.


About the Role

The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, assisting with investment-related enquiries, retirement products, account administration, and technical support. You will work in a fast-paced client service environment where accuracy, professionalism, and relationship management are essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Delivering outstanding client service through telephone, email, and digital communication channels.
  • Assisting investors and financial advisers with account enquiries and investment transactions.
  • Providing technical guidance on Collective Investment Schemes (Unit Trusts).
  • Supporting clients with retirement products, pension funds, and investment-related enquiries.
  • Resolving customer complaints professionally and escalating complex cases where necessary.
  • Meeting daily productivity targets and service level agreements.
  • Answering at least 90% of incoming calls within the required service standard.
  • Generating quality sales leads by identifying suitable investment opportunities.
  • Recording all client interactions accurately within internal systems.
  • Maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client experience.
  • Staying informed about changes in financial legislation and investment regulations.
  • Supporting Nedbank’s transformation and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development programmes.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or National Senior Certificate.
  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • Experience as a Client Services Consultant within the Asset Management industry.
  • Experience working with:
    • Investments
    • Retirement Funds
    • Pension Funds
    • Asset Management products
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Collective Investment Schemes
    • Retirement Products
    • Investment Administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Computer literacy and administrative skills.
