What You’ll Do

As a registry clerk, you’ll keep government offices running efficiently. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Receiving and registering mail and documents
  • Opening and closing files according to record-keeping systems
  • Filing, storing, and retrieving documents (electronic and paper)
  • Handling enquiries from colleagues and the public
  • Operating office equipment like scanners and franking machines
  • Preparing documents for archiving or disposal
