PHARMACY CLERK VACANCY
Life Groenkloof Hospital | Inventory & Pharmacy Operations Support
A vacancy exists for a Pharmacy Clerk at Life Groenkloof Hospital, part of Life Healthcare. The successful candidate will support the Inventory Manager in ensuring accurate stock control, efficient store operations, and compliance with hospital pharmacy procedures.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative ability, SAP exposure, and experience in stock management within a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate goods receipting against supplier invoices
- Investigating invoice queries and MIR6 discrepancies
- Assisting with GRIR report investigations
- Resolving purchase price variances
- Ensuring adherence to all stock control SOPs
- Planning and capturing cycle counts and stock takes
- Assisting with month-end reporting and close-out processes
- Investigating unrecorded liabilities
- Daily filing of invoices and supporting documents
- Processing new item code requests
- Unpacking, checking, and receiving stock from suppliers
- Managing and capturing invoices into the system
- Processing ward and theatre stock requisitions
- Ensuring timely supply of surgical stock to departments
- Assisting with daily cash-up processes
- Supporting consignment stock valuation updates

REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Computer literacy (MS Office required)
- 2–3 years relevant stock control or pharmacy administration experience
- Working knowledge of stock control systems (SAP experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
